Parents and Cadets:

Because of the virus, starting on April 25th, your cadet can initiate dropping off all uniform items at the dry cleaners so that we can collect all the uniforms. They/You can ONLY take the uniform to one location which is Regency Cleaners at 3600 Hillsborough Road, Durham NC  27705. Items not required to be dropped off is the PT uniform, belt, buckle, shoes, and socks. All other items including the hat and tie must be dropped off for cleaning by May 10th. There will be NO COST to you or the cadet for cleaning the uniform; Air Force JROTC will be paying the cost for cleaning the uniform if you follow these instructions. Here's what needs to be done:

  1. The cadet or parent takes the uniform to Regency cleaners on Hillsborough Road (preferably the cadet).
  2. Once at the counter, the cadet or parent tells the worker that they are bringing the uniform to be dry cleaned and paid for by Riverside ROTC. There should be 8 items including the jacket liner (9 if you have a skirt). All items MUST be submitted on one ticket; not multiple tickets.
  3. Give the worker the uniform and have them put the ticket in the CADET'S NAME ONLY. If you submit the uniform in any other name, we cannot guarantee that payment will be made by the Air Force and you could be liable for payment.
  4. Keep the receipt in case the cleaners is not able to locate the uniform when the instructor picks them up.

Cadets should put their Staff Ropes, ranks, and ribbons in a sandwich bag and attached to the uniform when it's given to the dry cleaners. If you follow these simple instructions, your cadet's uniform will be paid for and collected by the instructors without an issue. If you have any questions, please contact me at this email address.
